There are more than 460,000 NCAA student-athletes, and fewer than two percent will go pro in their sports.

With the official start of fall sports in full swing, for the next nine months parents are going to enjoy watching their son’s and daughters compete in various sports across the country at all levels. Whether it be spending a Saturday morning cheering at youth softball game or spending a Saturday night under the lights at an iconic college football stadium, sport brings us together and embeds dreams and aspirations in the amateur athlete.  Parents across the nation have hopes and dreams of their child playing in the pro’s, but let’s face it, the percentage of  amateur athletes playing at the next level is very small. We have to encourage our youth to think beyond the playing field and court (backup plan). The following article say’s it all.
