2019 FALL SPORTS IS UNDERWAY

FOOTBALL

The Mustangs opened their 2019 campaign this past Friday night against the St. Bernard’s Vikings at Culver City School. The Mustangs fell to the Vikings 27-0, however the morale of the team and coaching staff was very high for their first time together. For not having scrimmaged prior to the season, the Mustangs had outstanding performances from Junior’s Larry Castillo, Gerardo Martinez, and Senior Kenneth Elias. Castillo led the defense with 11 total tackles, 3 for loss with 1 sack, along with 45 rushing yards on the offensive side of the ball. Martinez recorded the defenses first interception of the year along with one breakup, and 4 tackles.  Elias added to the defensive performance with 3 tackles, 1 for loss.

The Mustangs open their 5 home game stretch on Friday, August 30, against La Salle High School. Kickoff is set for 7pm.

Parking $5

 Fans can park in the Mathews Street Lot and St. Isabel. Soto St Elementary will not be used. Entrance to Keegan Stadium will at Mathews Street ticket gate. The 7th street ticket entrance will not be used.

 

CROSS COUNTRY

The Mustang Cross Country team opens their 2019 season on Saturday August 31, at the Fastback Shootout, held at Arcadia County Park. The team will be led by Senior’s, Roy Garcia, Christian Farias, and Junior, Anthony Navarro.  The Mustangs are under the guidance of Coach Gabriel Medina ’96, Antonio Ochoa ’94, Francisco Garcia ’06, and Edwar Carranza.
